Description
The Emperor Julian, frequently known as ""the Apostate, became emperor upon the death of Constantius in 361. His reign was marked by his attempted restoration of Hellenism and his declaration that the worship of the ancient gods in its traditional form was the privileged religion. 'Against the Christians' is the work with which Julian was busy in the last months of his life and is, unfortunately, only partially available. What Taylor has translated here is what we have available in Cyril of Alexandria's ten books against Julian.
